At AlphaStrength, we take pride in supplying premium-quality fitness equipment. This Returns & Refund Policy complies with the Consumer Protection Act 68 of 2008 (CPA) and the Electronic Communications and Transactions Act 25 of 2002 (ECTA) and applies to all purchases made through our website. Nothing in this policy limits your legal rights under South African law.

1. 7-Day Online Cooling-Off Period

If you purchased your AlphaStrength Weight Belt online, you may cancel your order within 7 days of receiving the product, provided that:

  • The product has not been used for training.
  • The product is returned in its original condition.
  • All original packaging, accessories, tags, and documentation are included.
  • You notify us in writing within the 7-day period.

The customer is responsible for the direct cost of returning the item.

Once the returned product has been inspected and approved, your refund will be processed within 30 days.

2. Defective or Faulty Products

Every AlphaStrength product is covered by the Consumer Protection Act.

If your product becomes defective within 6 months of delivery due to a manufacturing defect (and not misuse, abuse, or normal wear and tear), you may choose one of the following:

  • Repair
  • Replacement
  • Full refund

Where required by law, AlphaStrength will cover the reasonable cost of returning genuinely defective products.

3. Items That Cannot Be Returned

Returns may be refused if:

  • The belt has been damaged through misuse, negligence, improper storage, or modification.
  • The product has been used outside its intended purpose.
  • The steel chain, stitching, or belt has been intentionally altered.
  • The product shows excessive wear inconsistent with normal inspection.
  • Original proof of purchase cannot be provided.

4. Incorrect or Damaged Orders

If you receive:

  • the wrong product,
  • a missing item, or
  • a product damaged during delivery,

please contact us within 48 hours of receiving your order.

Include:

  • your order number,
  • clear photographs,
  • and a description of the issue.

We will arrange a replacement or refund where appropriate.

5. Refund Method

Approved refunds will be issued using the original payment method whenever possible.

Shipping charges are generally non-refundable unless required by law or where the return results from our error.

6. Exchanges

We exchange products only when:

  • the item is defective;
  • the wrong item was supplied; or
  • stock is available and the returned item meets all return conditions.

7. Inspection of Returned Goods

All returned products are inspected before a refund, repair, or replacement is approved.

AlphaStrength reserves the right to refuse returns that do not comply with this policy or with applicable South African law.

8. Fair Use

Our products are designed for strength training.

Damage resulting from:

  • misuse,
  • commercial abuse,
  • accidents,
  • unauthorized repairs,
  • improper loading,
  • corrosion,
  • neglect,
  • or use beyond the product's intended purpose

is not covered.

Normal cosmetic wear from regular gym use is not considered a manufacturing defect.

Do not return products without first receiving return authorization.

10. Your Consumer Rights

Nothing in this policy excludes or limits any rights you have under the Consumer Protection Act 68 of 2008 or the Electronic Communications and Transactions Act 25 of 2002. Where this policy conflicts with applicable law, South African law will prevail.
